Today I found out that I should probably change my topic because Ms. Falcone said that The Civil rights movement was really something that you would study in school. So I took her word and thought about it, and I decided that I want to do
Neurofibromatosis because it will impact on my life more. It will impact my life more because my cousin has it.

On Saturday I took an interview with my cousin about N.F.

Yesterday I got really frustrated because I couldn't find a good web site to get information from about N.F. I keep on thinking that it will be very hard to find information because not many people know about N.F. and the people who do know don't know that much. And the websites that I find don't have that much information or they aren't meant for kids or they use words that I have no clue what they mean. I think that over spring break I am going to go out and try to find out as much information as I can because this topic means a lot to me. I really hope that I can find out stuff that will help me and my famiily know more about this and help clear it up for them. Some things that I want to find out about are how can you get it, can it cause death or illness? I think that I am going to E-mail Chip.

Today and last night I found out that I need a lot more information like more on what tumors are and how they are formed and what NF1 is and what it does to your body. I think that my topic will really impact on my life when I grow up, yet I don't know how or when but I just have a feeling that it will like maybe when a family wants to know about it I can tell them.

Today Ms. Falcone clarified what a thesis statement is because I don't really know what it is. Today I am still on my plan but I am really close to being done. I found out that I need quiet a bit of information for my I-Search.

Today I feel like I am cruising a long on my I-Search, I have found out how to use the Note catcher and that has really helped me I have found a whole lot more information just because of that.

Today I finished my plan and started my rough draft.

Today I learned how to write a really good conclusion paragraph and Ms. Falcone said it was really good.

Yesterday I finished my I-search and I think that the hardest part was starting the rough draft because she didn't really tell us how to start it, but once I started it was really easy. I also think that the funnest part about doing the I-Search was finding the information and polishing. Planning was not hard but it wasn't easy, even though it took a long time, it was worth it. At first I was doing it all wrong, but then I figured it all out. Click HERE to see the final copy.
